Lauren Vajda

founder, creative director

Lauren takes great interest in problem-solving for clients across a range of design mediums. She has worked with many outstanding corporations, institutions, and organizations including Adobe, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

Her work has been recognized by Graphis, Print Magazine, HOW Magazine, the InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards, and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), among other publications and awards organizations. 

As a way to give back to her profession and design community, she served as vice president, president, and finally as an advisory board member on the board of the Orange County, California chapter of the AIGA, a national nonprofit professional organization for the advancement of design.

Jennifer Lee Kuo

ART Director & Designer

Jennifer is a multi-disciplinary designer on a mission to create compelling and authentic brand narratives for clients. For more than a decade, she has utilized the power of design to help organizations of all sizes unlock the potential of their businesses, raise awareness for their products or services, and increase the impact and efficiency of their systems.

With roots in marketing, Jennifer understands the importance of connecting and collaborating with clients, consultants, and in-house teams to meet project objectives.

Her unique background allows her to think strategically and to craft experiences that go beyond design. Prior to joining Verso Design, she used her visual communication skills to shape national marketing campaigns at Gunn Jerkens, a full-service advertising agency; to promote new residential communities at William Hezmalhalch Architects; and to assist in business development for ZGF Architects, a nationally-ranked architecture firm.

 
 
 

Sel Thomson

Illustrator & designer

Sel is an illustrator and designer specializing in product and brand. With a background in graphic design, she has pursued illustration in recent years and worked with companies of all sizes, from non-profits and agencies to tech and healthcare companies, including Meta, FAO Schwarz, Cartoon Network, and Universal.

She loves visual systems and the power of illustration and motion to add a human touch to products. From packaging and icon design to product illustration and art direction, her wide range of experience has equipped her to understand and meet the unique needs of her clients. Her goal is to create delightful work that elevates brands and experiences while using illustration as a tool to communicate complex ideas more simply.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, learning how to dance, and finding treasure at the local swap meet.

 
 
 
 

Maggie Weidner

Designer

Maggie, a designer driven by a passion for creating compelling narratives, collaborates seamlessly with diverse clients, infuses each project with strategic thinking. Her expertise spans from start-ups to mature companies, showcasing a dedication to aligning narratives with strategic objectives. 

Her design ethos is a testament to infusing creativity with purpose, rooted in a transformative belief in the power of design to create meaningful connections, share stories, and foster dialogue. The holistic approach guides her professional endeavors and shapes her thinking, enabling her to tackle each project with a nuanced perspective, adding depth and authenticity.

Beyond design, Maggie embraces exploration, enjoys new restaurant discoveries, laughing at comedy shows, and playful moments in the park with her pup, Flynn.
